Welcome to Jos Booktastic Books — my little corner of the internet for books, magic & a little bit of chaos.

I originally started this blog many years ago as a place to chat about everything I was reading, share book hauls and generally obsess over books with other readers. After a very long break, Jos Booktastic Books is officially back — with a fresh look, a growing TBR and probably even less self-control around books than before. 😂

A Little About My Reading

My shelves and Kindle are usually full of:

Give me magical worlds, dragons, enemies-to-lovers, morally grey characters, mysterious bad boys and fictional men capable of causing completely unnecessary emotional damage and I’m probably going to be interested.

I love discovering new authors and genres too, so you'll occasionally find me wandering outside my usual comfort zone.

How I Rate My Books

For my reviews, I use the CAWPILE rating system, which looks at:

C — Characters
A — Atmosphere
W — Writing
P — Plot
I — Intrigue
L — Logic
E — Enjoyment

Alongside my CAWPILE score, every book also gets:

⭐ An overall star rating out of 5
🌶️ A spice rating
💔 An Emotional Damage rating

Because sometimes “five stars” simply doesn't tell you how badly a book destroyed you. 😂
