Jos Booktastic Books Is Back! 📚✨

 

Well… this feels slightly surreal.

The last time I properly posted here was 2015, and somehow more than a decade has passed since then. 😱

But after years away, Jos Booktastic Books is officially back!



This little blog used to be my place to share book hauls, wrap-ups, reviews and whatever else I happened to be reading. I recently found myself wanting that space again — somewhere I can talk about books in much more detail than I can squeeze into a TikTok or Instagram caption.

So rather than starting again from scratch, I decided to bring my old bookish corner of the internet back to life. 💜

And she's had quite the makeover. 😂

What’s Changed?

Jos Booktastic Books now has a completely new look inspired by everything I love: magical libraries, fantasy worlds, midnight colours, stars, books and just a tiny bit of witchy chaos. ✨🌙

But the biggest change is probably me.

My reading tastes have definitely evolved since 2015, and these days you'll usually find me reading:

🐉 Fantasy
✨ Romantasy
💕 Romance

Give me dragons, enemies-to-lovers, morally grey characters, magical worlds and fictional men who are guaranteed to cause emotional damage and I'm probably sold.

And because apparently simply giving a book some stars isn't enough for me anymore, my reviews now have their own rating system too. 😂

I'll be using CAWPILE to look at:

C — Characters
A — Atmosphere
W — Writing
P — Plot
I — Intrigue
L — Logic
E — Enjoyment

Every review will also include:

⭐ Overall Rating
🌶️ Spice Rating
💔 Emotional Damage Rating

Because I need you to know not only whether I loved a book, but exactly how badly it ruined my life in the process. 😂
